Why do witches have warts?

Halloween. It’s a day, that is sweet and spooky at the same time. Sweet because children go and search for candies, and spooky because there are ghosts, spiders, black cats and bats all around. And, of course, WITCHES. Today we will tell you something about witches and also teach you how to draw them.

Who doesn’t know them? They are women with big, black hats and a warty nose. Their name comes from the name of a nature religion that men and women in the British Isles practiced about 1300 years ago and was called Wicca. Wicca means “wise ones” and the female Wiccan was known as a witch, while the male Wiccan as a wizard. (Source >>)

Today, witchcraft is generally considered as a practice or belief in magical skills and abilities, but the connotation of the word varies across different regions of the globe. For example, in the Philippines, witchcraft is often classified as malevolent. In Southern African traditions, however, there are three classifications of somebody who uses magic: the thakathi is a spiteful person who operates in secret to harm others; the sangoma is someone employed in detecting illness, predicting a person’s future or identifying the culprits in a crime; while the inyanga, whose name is often translated as “witch doctor”, is someone whose job is to heal illness and injury and provide his customers with magical items for everyday use. Oggy and the Cockroaches

We are all sure that you know main characters of this popular cartoon. But we want to present you some facts abouth them that we bet you didn’t know at all!

Oggy spends his life chasing and catching the cockroaches and has a special relationship with them-sometimes he’s loving them and sometimes he’s hating them. Did you know that he’s a murophobic? This means that he’s scared of mice- and he’s a cat! 🙂 And that he’s named after Iggy Pop? He appeares in every single episode- the only one of the cockroaches. How about drawing the main character? Jack, Oggy’s older cousin is the second main character of the series. His color is olive green and he has red nose and pointed ears on a big head. It’s known that his birthday is on June 15, 1991. That means he’s 24 years old today! He is occasionally a “semi-antagonist” when he and Oggy get stuck somewhere and try to find a way to escape, like we see in many episodes. Marky is also one of the vilians, along with his friends Joey and Dee Dee. Marky’s grey body is 11cm. He’s the second in comand, after Joey. His personality is suave, often he’s not really caring what other two roaches are doing.
